HCU Row: Dr Manohar says it is deliberate attempt of BJP to achieve hidden political agenda | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 23: Referring to the ongoing row on the suicide committee by a scholar in Hyderabad Central University (HCU), the senior congress leader, former Minister and PCC general secretary Dr Manohar Lal Sharma said that it was an attempt to achieve the game plan of BJP and ABVP on the direction of Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani and Union MOS Bangaru Dutta. In a press statement issued here today, Dr Sharma said,"It is very unfortunate that the BJP and its leadership including Prime Minister Modi are continuously working for grabbing power in one and another state after attaining power in center by using all means whether ethical or unethical and even by creating communal atmosphere, previously between Hindu and Muslim on Beef row and as on now within upper caste and Dalits by polarizing the situation, he added. Sharma further said it is very harmful and dangerous trend in the interest of nation adopted by the BJP leadership. Dr Sharma cited example of similar rows on the remarks from Union MOS foreign Affairs V K Singh after a dalit family was killed in Haryana and also the statement of RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat well before in assembly elections of Bihar state over reservation which clearly shows the mindset and hidden agenda of BJP and RSS. Dr Sharma said the act for reservation of promotion in the state of J&K government employment was passed by the Congress-PDP alliance and further inter district reservation for district cadre posts was passed in the assembly again in the regime of Congress NC government but BJP and PDP now had scraped the promotion quota for SC, ST, OBC (OSC) and RBA by managing the order from the Hon'ble High Court of J&K which is very unfortunate. He added that it took lot to build the country and bind all sections of society with strong social and secular fabric after independence by all successive governments but present dispensation is going to damage the secular fabric of the country. |
