Jammu, Feb 27: As unemployment is on the rise, the influential officials at the premier recruiting agency, Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC), enjoyoverstaying at the office, with no authority ready to meddle in the case to order new appointments. According to official sources, as many as four officials of the JKPSC, being appointed as consultant for the period of six months, continued to enjoy their positions even after lapse of prescribed duration. “Hakeem Ghulam Jeelani and Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat were appointed as consultation in the department under the Order no 125-PSC 2015 dated 10/08/2015 for the period of six months with effect from 29/ 7 /2015, but till date they are enjoying uninterrupted job,” said official source, adding that similarly, Chunni Lal and PS Sodhi were appointed as consultant under the Order no 137-PSC 2015 dated 19/08/2015 for a period of three months with effect from 1.8.2015. Official sources said that while as the four of the officials are enjoying unopposed postings, the department is expressing deliberate ignorance over the issue, as the above named officials have a strong political clout, due to which the authorities fear to any action against the same. LA Deva, Chairman JKPSC could not be contacted despite several attempts.
