Doda Tragedy: Condolences continue to pour to mourn death of senior KAS Officer, his family members

Kishtwar, Feb 27: Condolences continued to pour from various quarters after the news about the death of senior Kashmir Administrative Service (KAS) officer Kalyan Singh Parihar, his wife and other family members in a fatal road accident on Kishtwar-Udhampur National Highway even the social media too is flooded by several condolence messages expressing shock and grief over the tragedy and solidarity with the bereaved family.
Singh was survived by a minor son.
The news of 2001 batch KAS officer Kalyan Singh who presently was posted as Additional Secretary R&B spread like wildfire on Friday and its reactions were oblivious as the condolences starting pouring in from different quarters be it political, non-political or social or the business community.
People across the erstwhile Doda district were shocked and grieved over the tragic and untimely death of the young officer, his wife Arti Singh, mother-in-Law Uma Devi and his brother-in-law Winkle Singh who later died at GMC Hospital Jammu.
A large gathering was present in the condolence meeting presided over by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ghulam Nabi Balwan held at DC Office Kishtwar in which all the employees of DC office Kishtwar, HODs and District officers participated and observed two minute silence in memory of the deceased officers. DC Kishtwar Mr Balwan while remembering the services of the deceased officer termed him an upright officer who left this world at his tender age. Paying his tributes to departed souls, he prayed for the eternal peace to departed souls, besides courage to the bereaved family members of the deceased.
ACR Kishtwar Dr Khalid Malik, CPO Dr Yasir Balwan, DTO Yasir Rather, District Immunization Officer Dr Daizy Parihar, AD CA&PD Semma Parihar, AD Employment Mohammad Amin and other senior officers also participated and expressed their grief and shock over the tragic death of Singh and his family members. The deceased had served in his 15 year service carrier as KAS Officer in different capacities including Block Development Officer and Sub Divisional Magistrate at Bhaderwah, Chief Executive Officer of Bhaderwah Development Authority, Assistant Commissioner Development
Kishtwar and also served as Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jammu.

Regrettably the deceased Kalyan Singh KAS Officer along with other road accident victims were shifting the body of his father to his native village Jodhpur in Doda district from Jammu when their Swift car rolled down into a deep gorge at Khaleni resulting his on spot death.
