Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 27: Ex-Central Paramilitary Forces Welfare Association (CPMF) decided to approach the Central government with regards to the OROP which has been announced by government of India but nothing has been considered for the Central Paramilitary Forces. CPMF General Secretary Darshan Kumar while addressing press conference at R S Pura said the Indian Armed Forces created under the provisions of constitution and later on the Central Paramilitary Forces were created under the provisions of same constitution. The plea put forth by GOI MOD that Defence Forces Personnel are retired at very young of 33 and 40 years and the personnel serving with paramilitary forces retired at the age of 60 years. The military has been developed since it took centuries to reach this stage but paramilitary forces are developing very fast and shall reach the said stage and all the Defence forces officers are being retired at the age of 60 yrs too, he added. We never had a thought to compete our elder brothers in armed forces, they maintained. We all are the sons of the same soil and have the same task to defend the same motherland, but the GOI is dividing the soldiers of Defence Forces and that of Central Paramilitary Forces and it is the disparity and thus discrimination hence it will not be tolerated, he added. All Central Paramilitary Forces retired personnel, Veer Naris and dependents requested to reach BSF HQ Paloura Jammu on March 15 at 10 am positively to participate in peaceful protest. |
