Early Times Report Srinagar, Feb 27: Posters of terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) were alleged to have been read out in some mosques of saffron town of Pampore here, hailing locals for showing solidarity with them during the encounter of security forces with terrorists who were holed up inside EDI complex. All the three terrorists were later shot dead by the valiant forces. Locals said printed LeT posters were distributed in Pampore mosques and diktats were issued to 'religious preachers' to read them out during Friday prayers. They said the posters were read out in different mosques of Pampore. When contacted, a police official, on the condition of anonymity, said they had taken cognizance of the issue and investigation had been started to ascertain the facts. Hailing people's role during the EDI encounter, LeT, through these posters, threatened to intensify attacks on security establishments. |
