Three drug peddlers nabbed with 16 gms Heroin 2/27/2016 11:04:25 PM Early Times Report Kathua, Feb 27: Police claimed to have arrested three narcotics smugglers besides recovering 16 gmas of Heroin, 23 gms of Charas (cannabis) and a sharp edged weapon from their possession during a naka checking at Arjun Chack link road Hiranagar under jurisdiction of Police Station HIranagar. Police said the accused have been identified namely as Navjot s/o Vijay Kumar of W-10 Hiranagar, Mohinder Kumar s/o Tarsem Lal of Hirangar and Rohit Sharma s/o Surinder Paul of Hiranagar. Police said, "Police team from Police Station Hiranagar under the supervision of SDPO Border Dy SP Deewaker Singh and SHO Police Station Hiranagar Inspr Naveen Angral laid a naka near Arjun chack link road Hiranagar. "During checking at about 1530 hrs one Alto Car bearing regd no: JK02AE-6889 was intercepted and above mentioned trio was found sitting in the car, police said. "During their personnel search 07gms heroine was recovered from Navjot while 09gms heroine and one sharp edge weapon (Toka) was recovered from the possession of Mohinder and 23gms Charas was recovered from Rohit, " p;olice said, adding, " the trio was arrested on the spot.' A case under FIR No: 19/2016 u/s 8/20/21/22 NDPS Act, 4/25 Arms Act stands registered at Police Station Hiranagar against the accused and further investigations are on.
