Haryana shame: Jammu RTI activist writes NHRC for time bound inquiry

jammu, Feb 27: Expressing concerns over the Haryana shame, the Jammu based RTI activist took the matter to National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) and impressed it for time bound inquiry into the alleged gang rapes of women during the Jat Reservation agitation in Haryana. In his letter to the Secretary General, NHRC New Delhi, the RTI activist Deepak Sharma expressed shock over the incident that took place in Harayana recently. "This is in reference to the recently held Jat Reservation agitation in Haryana when violence, arson and loot etc was reported in Haryana and as per media reports as many as 28 persons have been died and more than 200 injured during said agitation for reservation," RTI activist stated"Media reports also referred at least 10 women were gang raped in Murthul in Haryana during the said agitation for reservation and you are therefore requested to kindly hold a time bound enquiry in to the alleged incident/matter of gang rape of women during Jat reservation agitation in Haryana".
