JAMMU, Feb 27 : One day Inter College Workshop on Faculty Development Programme on the topic "Enhancing Experiential Learning through Interacting / Game Base Content and New Pedagogical Tools in Education" was organised by Department of English, Government SPMR College of Commerce, Jammu in collaboration with ICFAI Business School, Gurgaon Campus. In his address Principal of the college Prof. J.L.Bhagat lauded the efforts of the department of English for organizing this capacity building Workshop and asked the participating faculty to keep themselves abreast with the latest teaching tools. The workshop was divided into four sessions, with two sessions exclusively based on "Innovative Teaching through Interactive and Game based Content" and on "Experiential learning through Case Study". The other two sessions were on "Teaching Pedagogy for experiential learning" and "Understanding Learning Styles to enhance Your Teaching Methods". Prof. Sangeeta Shahane, faculty IBS Gurgaon, was the Resource Person for the workshop. The formal Welcome address was presented by Prof Archana Kaul, HOD English, in which she pointed out the need for a change in the classroom teaching learning environment while Prof Anjali Mahajan conducted the proceedings of the workshop. Faculty members from Govt. G.G.M Science College, Govt. College for Women, Parade, Govt. MAM College, Govt. City College, Paloura, Govt. Degree College Samba, IMS College Patoli, Trikuta Degree College and also the host college participated in the workshop . In the valedictory session the report was read by Prof. Pawan Gupta while the vote of Thanks was given by Prof. Anita Kumari. The entire programme was coordinated by Sunny Kumar, Event Manager IBS and Mr. Paramjeet Singh, Marketing Officer, Jammu. |
