Natrang presents play ‘Mind Games'

Jammu, Feb 27: Natrang presented an enthralling performance of its famous Hindi play, Mind Games at Abhinav Theatre today. Rakesh Gupta IAS, Principal Secretary Forests, Ecology, Environment and Remote Sensing J & K Govt. was the Chief Guest at the occasion who appreciated Natrang's tireless efforts in promoting the Art & Culture of the State and taking it to the National & International heights and others.
'Mind Games' is highly experimental play which is Conceived, Written & Directed by Sumeet Sharma, a Post Graduate in Dramatics and recipient of SNA's Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar for Theatre Direction. Sumeet Sharma deserves appreciation for creating this wonderful theatrical venture which leaves lasting impact on the audience. While speaking on the occasion, Natrang Director, Padamashree Balwant Thakur said that Natrang is a movement and is in the process of expanding its base by introducing more and more young directors in the group.
The present experiment is also a step taken by the organisation in the fulfilment of this endeavour.
It has a mission to bring a total social change through its earnest efforts by using theatre as a medium for the larger welfare of mankind, He also spoke about Natrang's vision towards the development of Art & Cultural scenario of the State.
The play 'Mind Games' unveils a very common, unconscious and continuous practice of all human beings, chatting with Mind and creating baseless abstract stories all the times, which give rise to thoughts which when nurtured become attitude and eventually shape our behaviour and personality causing success or failure.
Sumeet Sharma played the central character of the play 'Ajeet' with professional ease and exhibited his versatility as an actor. Gaurav Jamwal as 'Krish' was also very impressive in playing a complex charecter. Shivani Chowdhary as 'Simran' did a notable performance. Pawan Verma as 'Boss', Rahul Singh as 'Kumar' and Mohd. Yaseen as 'Peon' also received appreciation from the audience for their impressive acting. Others who participated in the play included Ankush Lakhnotra, Rajan Thakyal, Vishal Sharma, Piyush Anand, Abhi Bargotra, Aishwarya Sathe, Shivika Verma, Sameena Kousar, Sachin Sharma and Kuldeep Angral. Lights were executed by Neeraj Kant and the Music was rendered by Shivam Singh and Rishabh Sharma. The show was presented by Aarushi Thakur.
