Rajouri, Mar 19: Eight days national workshop on "Linux Administration & Open Source Application Softwares" from 11th March, 2016 in the Department of Computer Science Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Rajouri concluded today on 18th March, 2016. More than 70 participants including Teachers, Scholars and Students were enrolled for the workshop. The Department invited experts as resource persons from both within the University as well as from IT industry. The theme of the workshop played an important role in attracting good number of participants for registration.
The valedictory function was presided over by Ataat Hussain Registrar, BGSB University. In his address he emphasized on the importance and need of Linux and open source softwares. Prof. M. Asger, Dean School of Mathematical and Computer Sciences and patron of the workshop, also spoke at length about the applicability and the security of the Linux environment. Earlier on the seventh day of the workshop, Vice Chancellor BGSB University Prof. Javed Mussarat, chief patron of the workshop interacted with the participants and encouraged the participants to use open source softwares taking into consideration its applicability, affordability, and security. |
