LeT terrorist arrested in Poonch | | | M S Nazki

Poonch, Mar 19: Police claimed to have arrested a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) cadre soon after he reached Poonch district from Pakistan via Nepal here on Friday late evening. Police have registered a case in this regard. "The accused has been identified as Mohammad Yasin (29) , s/o Late Talib Hussain, of Marha, Surankote," police sources said Police sources said, "A Lashkar terrorist Mohammad Yasin (29) late last evening was arrested at around 1830-1900 hrs by the police team of Surankote of Poonch district under the supervision of SSP Pooch J.S Johar. "The LeT cadre reportedly has been persuaded by the family members to return and he has responded the call from the family members and like other have opted to come via Nepal route, sources added. They also added that the accused has four brothers and six sisters, one of his brother Mohd Farooq (35) is working with Territorial Army (TA), while other three brother working as farmers and local Labourer. According to police sources the LeT cadre had joined terror outfit in October 2000 under the command of self styled commander Ali Ahasman, Pak who was active in Surankote. "Later the accused had crossed to other Pakistan in 2002 to receive arms training," they added. Sources added that as per initial investigation and questioning the said person after his exfiltration to PoK via Saujiyan in 2002 and received arms training in different camps and also had worked with Al Badr terror outfit. "Meanwhile police have registered a case under FIR 36/2016 u/s 14, 14A Foreigners Act, 3 Passport Act. |
