Asif Iqbal Naik Early Times Report KISHTWAR, Mar 19: In last leg of selection of 4000 police constables, approximately 40,339 candidates, who had qualified the physical test in January 2016, are all set to appear in the written test going to be held across the state tomorrow. The written test for the posts of 4000 cops would be held at district headquarters of all the 22 districts of the state, according to official sources. The highest number of candidates would appear in the test from Jammu district where 5419 candidates have qualified the physical test, followed by 3284 candidates from Anantnag, 3279 candidates from Rajouri, 3244 from Kathua, 1686 from Samba, 1889 from Poonch, 2367 from Udhampur, 1131 from Reasi, 2140 from Doda, 1468 from Ramban, 951 from Kishtwar, 781 from Srinagar, 1928 from Budgam, 724 from Ganderbal, 337 from Leh, 310 from Kargil, 1063 from Pulwama, 1772 from Kulgam, 448 from Shopian, 2084 from Baramulla, 2837 from Kupwara and 1197 from Bandipora. While talking to Early Times, SSP Kishtwar Sandeep Wazir said that all the arrangements with regard to the written test had been finalized and added that the test for Kishtwar candidates would be held at Islamia Fareedia School premises from 12 noon to 2 PM. He said that whole examination will be videographed so that no confusion was there with regard to cheating. He said that all the entry and exit points leading to the venue will be sealed hours before the start of the examination and further said that three tier security had been put in place in and around the examination center. He said that all the candidates had been advised not to carry any incriminatory material or any electronic gadgets inside the examination hall and people had been advised not to assemble outside the centre. It is pertinent to mention that in order to avoid the confusion and clashes of dates for the written examination, Police Recruitment Board chairman Lalit Indu Mohanty has asked the universities, boards and other recruitment agencies not to fix 20th of March 2016 as examination date so as to avoid clash of date of examination which may cause inconvenience to the aspirants. Moreover in order to bring out transparency and make the recruitment process error free, police have taken the help of a private company from Delhi in carrying out the recruitment process through modern technique by way of involving modern electronic gadgets to make the recruitment process transparent and fair. |
