Acting swiftly police nabs 'car rape' accused 3/20/2016 12:03:01 AM Early Times Report Rajouri, Mar 19: Acting swiftly Rajouri police under the supervision of Rajeshwar Singh SSP Rajouri has succeeded in apprehending the 'car rape' accused within four days of the crime committed by him under the jurisdiction of Police Station Thanamandi. "The accused has been identified as as Ayaz Ahmed s/o Mohd Shafi of Khablan -Thanamandi of Rajouri," police sources said. The accused after committing rape in the car allegedly had thrown the girl outside and fled from the area which has sparked wide outrage among the locals. Pertinently, on Sunday at about 5 pm the victim (name withheld) a resident of village Khablan was on way to meet her relatives at Rajdhani got caught in heavy rains. She sought lift from a car coming from Rajouri to Rajdhani and the sole occupant of car introduced himself as Mohd Arif of village Saj. Victim in her complaint has alleged that she was raped by the occupant of car who abandoned her out of car, accordingly police had registered a case FIR No.29/16 u/s 376 & 366. Following complaint of victim, police under the supervision of SSP & SDPO, swung into action and conducted raids in village Saj but all in vain. During the investigations, police had used every source including tracking of mobile Call Data Record (DCDRs) to track the accused. "The accused was hiding in the area and after specific inputs Narinder Singh Chib, SHO, Thanamandi today launched man hunt in Thanamandi area and apprehended the accused identified as Ayaz Ahmed s/o Mohd Shafi resident of Khablan (Thanamandi).   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
