Unknown miscreants throw acid on retired Tehsildar

srinagar, Mar 22: A 65-year old man, a retired Tehsildar was injured in an acid attack by some unidentified men when the victim was going for Fajar prayers. The victim has been identified as Ali Muhammad Shah a retired revenue official Police sources said that the incident occurred at around 5:40 this morning, when the victim Ali Muhammad Shah was walking towards local masjid to offer morning prayers. Reportedly, some unidentified persons threw acid on him and fled from the place after sprinkling acid on right side of his face. "Fortunate for him, the acid fell on his clothes and a few drops on his face, police said. Locals and police immediately shifted him to SMHS hospital for treatment where his condition is stated to be stable.
Meanwhile Police have registered a case under FIR No 36/2016 u/s 324 of Ranbir Penal Code (RPC).
