Aspirants intensify lobbying for Ministerial berth
3/23/2016 12:14:52 AM

Early Times Report
jammu, Mar 22: In the wake of positive meeting between PDP president Mehbooba Mufti and Prime Minister Narendra Modi amidst clear signals of Government formation in Jammu and Kashmir within days, speculations are agog over the faces in new Council of Ministry.
While all the former Ministers in then PDP-BJP Coalition Government are confident of their re-induction into the Ministry, almost each and every legislator is trying his best to become a Minister in the new dispensation.
As Mehbooba Mufti is the only power centre in PDP, lobbying in her party is low key affair but there are much hectic efforts in BJP where every MLA and MLC is projecting himself is future Minister in the Government.
In an attempt to project their names, the BJP legislators are leaving no stone unturned and RSS headquarter is most sought destination for the aspirants besides mouth campaign from their respective supporters. On the other hand, sources said that the RSS has made it clear to the BJP that selection of persons for the Ministerial berth is prerogative of the party but there should be no excuse on omissions and commissions if case of their wrongdoings.
Pertinent to mention that RSS had earlier complained to the BJP high command about wrong doings of the party Ministers in J&K but the senior leaders had expressed their inability to rein in corrupt practices of then Ministers, who included Cabinet as well as Ministers of State.
According to the sources, the BJP high command, in consultation with the top RSS functionaries, has almost decided to change some faces in the new Government, which is likely to be in place by March 25.
