KATHUA, Mar 22: Under the active supervision of Excise Commissioner (EC), T Angchuk and Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu Mohammed Shahid Saleem, an excise team under the command of Excise and Taxation Officer Sandeep Gupta today raided the Mirpur, Jakhbardambra, Upper Saktachak, Lower Saktachak, Dhabwal, Muthi, Jaggu, Khund and its adjoining areas in the district to arrest the menace of illicit distillation.
More than, 1100 kilograms of Lahan, 75 bottles of illicit liquor made from lahan, which is highly injurious to health were recovered by the raiding team which was later destroyed by the team on spot.
