Poonch, Mar 22: The sarpanch of lower Dhargloon panchyat, Balakote has accused the BDO of misappropriating governemnt funds for condtruction of Panchayat ghar for which Rs. 2.5 lakh according to sources Rs. 17 lakh were already released including excess money of Rs 88000, .
The Sarpanch of lower Dhargloon Panchayat in Balakote had asked for Rs 2.5 lakh for the incomplete works of Panchayat Ghar which was refused by the BDO out rightly and a scuffle took place in BDO's office and a FIR was registered against Sarpanch in police station Gursai after Munsiff's court in Mendhar directed SDPO to make the investigation in the case.
Sources said the Sarpanch revealed that his panchayat consists of 6 wards and he has constructed 12 houses under IAY but for the last three years he has received no payment where as against 600 bags of Government cement he was given only 200 bags where as the officials have given 700 bags Government cement to blue eyed and influentials out of plan in the area.
Leveling the charges against the BDO Balakote, Sarpanch said that he has constructed 150 bathrooms in the Panchayat under different Government schemes casting Rs 9000 to Rs 12000 but only Rs 5100 has been released, he added.
He further alleged that an amount of Rs. 3 lakh had been withdrawn on fake vouchers on my behalf, he added.
The sources said that an FIR vide No 17 has been registered against the BDO Balakote Abdul Rashid Khawaja Accountant Nazir Ahmed Khan and Sarpanch Upper Dhargloon Mohd Khurshid Khan in Police Station Gursai Under Section 420, 323 and 504 RPC.
