Bani (Kathua), Mar 22: Co-Treasurer J&K PCC and senior Congress leader Rajnish Sharma popularly known as 'Mian' today chaired a monthly meeting of party at Machhedi of Bani Assembly Constituency and discussed various issues pertaining to the problems being faced by the people due to heavy rains and shortage of ration supply in the area. The meeting was attended by people from all walks of life who highlighted the problems including the shortage of ration, non-functional of Tehsil various offices and damage of houses and crops due to heavy rains and hail storm in recent past.
During the meeting Congress leader was apprised that despite creating of new Tehsil for Machhedi/Lohai Malhar, the people have to go to Billawar or Kathua for the getting their issues redressed, as the Tehsil in Machhedi/ Lohai Malhar is non-functional. After giving a keen ear top problems of people, Congress leader Rajnish Sharma 'Mian' assured them to take up matter with administration authorities. He also made a fervent plea to the administration for addressing the above mentioned problems at the earliest especially to release compensation against damaged crops and houses.
