| GDC Thannamandi celebrates 'World Water Day' | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Mar 22 : Government Degree College (GDC) Thannamandi commemorated 'World Water Day' with full fervor and gaiety. A seminar was held in the college to create 3awareness about the importance and conservation of water. Three college students Rashid Ahmed, Flower Afsana and Ms. Mufaila Khan presented their speeches pertaining to the topic.
Principal of the college Dr. Shakeel Ahmed Raina presided over the programme and also delivered detailed lecture on Importance and Conservation of water. He said water is basic requirement for survival on this planet and no factory/scientist in the world can make a single drop of water. Hence it moral duty of every one to use and conserve water in such a way so that future generation may not dye due to shortage of water.
Earlier the programme started with recitation of few verses of the Holy Quran by Abdul Rasheed. Lect. Sajjad Ahmed Kutay and Lect. Iqbal Hussain also spoke at the occasion. Lect. Saleem Ahmed compared the programme. |
