Jammu, Mar 22 : Block Congress Committee Talab Tillo Jammu today stages protest demonstration against the partial implementation of NFSA where public at large would be supplied wheat grain in place of wheat flour.
Speaking on the occasion, Anil Chopra expressed serious concern over the non-availability of ration at the Government depots in Jammu City and elsewhere in the State.
He said that supply of wheat grain in Jammu City would not be accepted, because the people cannot be pushed to the era of 70 year back, when the women used to grind grains in their homes manually. Now a day if a family gets 20 Kg. wheat, he has to first wash the grain, then dry it and finally it will take the wheat grain to the Chaki, which is a five days process.
Chopra urged upon the Governor administration to arrange supply of ration, especially the flour(Atta) at the Government Depots in Jammu City on top priority basis, keeping in view the hardships of general public and the decision of supplying wheat grain in place of Atta should be abandoned.
