BJP should not compromise security of state: KPC | | | Jammu, Mar 22 : Kashmiri Pandit Conference today stated that BJP-PDP Government seems certain now and BJP was all set to compromise the security of the State and the National interest to appease the PDP once again for sharing the power in the State of J&K. According to press release, KPC Chief Kundan Kashmiri said that it was unfortunate that BJP was aggravated over the delay in the Government formation in the state which seems to have issued a deadline through the Governor to the Army for vacating the land from certain areas, in order to move forward on the PDP-BJP Agenda of Alliance. "It seems clear that before formation of Govt. in the state by BJP and PDP, the Governor had persuaded the Northern Army Commander to hand over land under Army at Jammu, Srinagar, , Anantnag, and Kargil before March 31 of this month", he said. Kundan terming the preliminary exercise as unfortunate, and apprehend that it would seriously dent the morale of the Armed forces while paving the way for the withdrawal of AFSPA from the State in coming future. He further said that if BJP is really eager and anxious to share power with PDP, for reasons known to them, so, it is also appropriate time for BJP to ask PDP leadership to have serious review of the J&K Self-Rule resolution 2008 which is setting the stage for resolution of Jammu & Kashmir Issue against the interests of Indian nation. He also demanded that BJP must think and discuss very seriously about phase- wise diluting or abrogating the Article 370, after serious debate with PDP and others and to make the people of J&K state and others understand its demerits as was committed by BJP in Raja- Sabha on 11 March 2015 that Article 370 provides for 'Temporary provisions with respect to the State of Jammu and Kashmir. |
