Bovine smuggling bid foiled, 15 animals rescued 3/23/2016 11:23:38 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 23 : Satwari Police today foiled a bovine snuggling with the arrest of one bovine smuggler and rescuing 15 bovine animals which were being transported illegally during a naka at Jeevan Nagar Chowk Satwari. Concerned police have registered a case in this regard. Police spokesman said, "In continuation to the drive against bovine smuggling Satwari Police on a specific information raised a Naka at Jeevan Nagar chowk Satwari and intercepted a Truck bearing registration number JK02AT 4217." "During search of vehicle police found 15 bovine animals loaded in the truck in most cruel manner", said spokesman, further adding that truck was seized while occupant of truck (driver) identified as Mohd Rafiq of Khanpur Nagrota was arrested on the spot. In this regard a case under FIR no 54/2016 u/s 188 of RPC registered at Police Station Satwari.
