Two bovine smuggling bids foiled, three held | | | Rajouri , Mar 23 : In a drive against bovine smuggling Rajouri police have apprehended three bovine smugglers and have rescued six bovine animals from their possession .According to police spokesperson, inspector Parmod S Bajju, SHO Kalakot under the supervision of Atul Sharma, ASP, Nowshera intercepted a Tata Mobile (JK11-27870 carrying 2 bovine animals on late evening Tuesday. "The occupant of vehicle Bashir Ahmed son of Wali Mohd resident of Channi when asked to produce required documents / permission to transport the bovines, could not produced and was arrested by the police, police said, adding, " the accused was booked in case FIR no20/16 u/s 188 RPC and 3PCA and police also seized the vehicles. Similarly in another incident, Sub Inspector Mohd Bashir, SHO, Police Station Dharamshal intercepted two Tata mobile vehicles at a police naka at Solki on Rajouri-Kalakot-Jammu road and rescued four bovine animals from the possession of Mohd Azam resident of Tryath and Mohd Javid of Dhanidhar (Rajouri). "Both accused have been booked in cases under FIR Nos. 18 & 19/2016 u/s section188 RPC and 3 PCA, police said. Police also added that vehicles (JK11B-0516 & JK02AP-0649) used for transporting animals were also seized. |
