Locals protest against Municipal Committee 3/23/2016 11:25:30 PM Early Times Report Udhampur Mar 23 : People of Ward 1 Subash Nagar Udhampur today held a protest against insensitive attitude of the Udhampur Municipal Committee (UMC) and in particular against alleged approach of Safai Karmcharis of the said locality. Led by Meena Sumbriya, the protestors amid slogans against the authorities demanded due sanitation and covering of all main holes to avoid mishaps. Addressing the protestors Meena Sumbriya alleged that safai karmcharis posted in the wards don't come regularly to pick garbage resulting in unhygienic conditions in the ward. "The garbage gets littered around emitting foul smell and also make residents of ward prone to various health hazards, she added.
