Udhampur, Mar 23: In continuation to drive against drug menace, police today arrested a narcotics peddler alongwith 24 gms of Charas (cannabis) during a naka checking at Ramnagar of Udhampur district.
"The accused has been identified as Shankar Das s/o Sita Ram r/o W-1, Ramnagar of Udhampur district," police said
According to police spokesperson, a police team led by SHO Ramnagar DySP (P) Dr Azhar Rashid laid a special naka at Ramnagar and intercepted a person on suspicion basis.
"During personal frisking of accused Shanker Das, the police team recovered 24 grams of Charas from his possession, police said.
A case under FIR No 28/2016 u/s 8/20 was registered against the accused at P/S Ramnagar. |
