Early Times Report

Srinagar, Apr 11: Proving his differences with state Congress chief G A Mir, the former JKPCC president Saifuddin Soz skipped a Congress rally addressed by Ambika Soni and Mir in Srinagar today. Sources told Early Times that Soz was informed by Mir formally few days back to attend the rally. However without responding to Mir's invitation Soz skipped the rally. Sources said that Soz was not happy with Mir replacing him as JKPCC head. They said right from the day Soz was replaced by Mir, he has never attended any meeting shared by Mir and does not respond to minutes of meetings and invitations sent to him. Sources said that after seeing Soz absent in rally today Ambika on her way back to home approached Soz at his residence. They said Congress high command will take serious note of this development and may ask both Soz and Mir to explain their stand. When contacted, state Congress vice president Ghulam Nabi Monga said that Soz may have been busy somewhere with his personal work today,"otherwise state Congress is one unit and progressing with each passing day."
