Jammu, Apr 12: Punjab National Bank (PNB) today celebrated its 122nd foundation day by organizing different functions at its branches all over the State. According to press release, to mark this day at its Circle Office, Bahu Plaza, a blood donation camp was also organized by the Bank in association with Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu region here today. The camp was inaugurated by Bikram Singh Raina, Circle Head, PNB Jammu Circle who was accompanied by R C Puri, Hony the secretary of Indian Red Cross Society, Region Jammu. Speaking on the occasion, Raina said that it is a momentous and emotional day for the entire PNB family as we celebrate the Bank's 122nd foundation day. PNB was born out of patriotic fervour in 1895 at Lahore on the Baisakhi day by dedicated persons like Lala Lajpat Rai who had vision of a bank owned by Indians, managed by Indians and served by the Indians. He added that it's a day to feel proud of our past performance and devise ways to re-dedicate ourselves to the customers. We have to commit ourselves for the service of the people and for providing best banking services to the people, Raina said. Also, to mark its foundation day, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity, Bank distributed stationery items including note books, pencils, erasers, etc at Bal Niketan, Ved Mandir, Ambphalla today. Pawan Kohli, Deputy Circle Head, Raj Kumar Gupta, Umang Maini, Subash Chnader Chief Managers at circle office and large number of staff members were present at the occasion. |
