kishtwar, Apr 12:In reply to the Right to Information application filed by the RTI activist in the office of Director Information Jammu seeking information on the tender notices published in various dailies through Information department inviting tender for various works executed by PHE department Kishtwar now renamed as Hydraulic Division Kishtwar, the Deputy Director Information (PR) Jammu stated that no NIT's were published in any newspaper during 2010-11 and 2011-12 , however 13 NIT's were published in various state and National dailies through information department while according to sources more than 200 works were executed by the department during this period. As per the details available with "Early Times", in reply to an RTI application, Deputy Director Information vide No. Inf/Advt/J-42/2012 dated 1-08-2013 stated that As per official record available with the information department, during the year 2010-11 & 2011-12 no NIT's of the concern department has been received in this office for publication. As per the reply 13 NIT's forwarded by Executive Engineer Hydraulic Division Kishtwar vide No. 2170-87 dated 22-5-2012, 2725-44 dated 11-6-2012, 3046-68 dated 23-06-2012, 3641-63 dated 27-7-2012, 3087-93 dated 26-06-2012, 3094-99 dated 26-06-2012, 3583-99 dated 27-7-2012, 4110-21 dated 1-09-2012, 4197-4213 dated 11-09-2012, 4979-84 dated 28-09-2012, 5019-46 dated 29-9-2012, 15730-57 dated 12-11-2012 & 7526-31 dated 10-1-2013 stands published in various national and state dailies. The sources further informed that influential contractors and officials network is flourishing in the department and has deep roots and needs to be checked to plug draining of state exchequer. It is pertinent to mention that "Early Times" last month had unearthed multi crore carriage scandal in the Kishtwar hydraulic division Kishtwar followed by an inquiry ordered by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, but even after more than one month, no action has been initiated against the guilty officials who robbed the state exchequer under the patronage of senior officials of the department who were now busy in covering up of the same. |
