Govt transfers lecturers from schools reeling under shortage
Session begins, schools yet to get substitute

Jammu, Apr 12: The government has transferred lecturers from schools already reeling under shortage and have not sent substitutes to address the crisis.
Uttam Singh, a local resident of Kilotran of district Doda informed Early Times that previous month the director school education Jammu has transferred couple of lecturers from Government Higher Secondary School Kilotran including English, Education, Persian, Zoology and Urdu subject but till date department concern provide only substitute of Urdu subject rest of all others subjects transferred lecturers school yet to get substitute.
He further said that the school already acute dearth of staff in which the transfer of couple of lecturers from the school badly hitting the education of students here. In this school around 13 subject taught but it was very astoundingly that government had sanctioned total 13 lecturers posts in which Environment Science and Political Science subject lecturers are already lying vacant.
"Science and Arts stream run in this school and every year more than one thousand students from class 9th to 12th enrolled here, many times the local residents of Kilotran and their adjoining area met with higher authority of education department regarding increase sanction strength of lecturers but without assurance nothing has done at ground", another local resident said.
They further said that the accommodation of school was sufficient but in the year 2008 government provided four rooms and a hall accommodation from school to college due to which the school still facing shortage of accommodation.
Principal of GHSS Kilotran, TC Sharma admitted and said that yet he didn't relieve the lecturers from school but recently the order issued by director school education to relieve them. Sharma further said that the students do not suffer more, he had already discuss the matter with Chief Education Officer Doda and hope that within a week.
