Ex-interlocutor Ansari in his true colours | Against shifting of NIT, for implementation of agenda of alliance | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 12: Former interlocutor on J&K MM Ansari has also taken the plunge to support the Kashmiri cause. On the one hand, he has urged the student community in the NIT to help restore peace on the campus so that the agenda of alliance could be implemented. On the other hand, he has made common cause with those who had opposed the demand of the agitating non-local students of the NIT seeking shifting of it to some other place outside the militant and separatist-infested radicalized Kashmir. "The students' unrest at NIT Srinagar has serious repercussions for the implementation of the coalition Government's 'Agenda for Alliance' and for restoring peace and normalcy in Jammu and Kashmir," Ansari has said. He knows what the Agenda of Alliance means to the Kashmiri people, as he interacted with them for full one year between October 2010 and October 2011. He knows that the agenda of alliance, if implemented, would help Kashmiri people push forward their sinister agenda. It needs to be noted that the report that the three interlocutors submitted to the Home Ministry in October 2011 was fundamentally Kashmir-centric, separatist-friendly and patently anti-Jammu, anti-Ladakh, anti-refugees and so on. Regarding the demand of the agitating non-local students that NIT be shifted out of the Valley, Ansari has said: "The demand of non-local students for relocation or shifting the NIT campus is untenable, mainly because there's no IIT, IIM or engineering college in the Valley. J&K is poor in so far as the provision of quality technical and professional education is concerned. Even at the NIT, less than 20 per cent students are local". There are reasons to believe that the suggestions of Ansari would evoke a very sharp reaction from Jammu and elsewhere in the country. For, his suggestions are not holistic; his suggestions are Kashmir-centric and biased. |
