POONCH, Apr 10 : Fear gripped Shahpur and other border villages of Poonch after the ceasefire violation by Pak troops. Even as Pakistan has time and again pledged to uphold the 2003 ceasefire accord, it troops Sunday resorted to unprovoked firing, targeting Indian posts and villages along the LoC in Poonch. Official sources said there prevailed an atmosphere of fear in Shahpur and other border villages after the fresh ceasefire violation by Pakistan. Even as they constantly lived under the fear of enemy firing, the border residents were finding no sympathisers from the state administration, sources alleged. Meanwhile, local youth Congress worker Imtiaz Salaria today visited Shahpur and met the affected people. He assured them to take up their problems with the district administration. |
