JTC holds protest against state, Centre Govt

Jammu, Apr 12: A Protect rally was organised by Jagti Tenement Committee Jagti today which was held at Jagti Migrant Camp. The rally was attended by the office bearers, members and migrants putting up at Jagti.
The protest rally was held against the indifferent attitude of State and Central Government by withholding three months ration supplies to the Migrants which has put the migrant community to lot of sufferings. The protestors raised slogans against the government and demanded immediate release of ration for the month of February, March and April 2016 at an earliest.
The protestors have also demanded the State and Central Government for ensuring release of ration of the past three months as the migrants managing their domestic needs on relief assistance only have come to a stage of starvation.
While addressing the agitating members JTC president SL Pandita said that the Migrant community does not come under the purview of NFSA as the community is living a life in exile as such has demanded that ration as per previous approved scales is required to be released in favour of the migrant community at an earliest to save the lives of these migrants, also enhancement of monthly cash relief to Rs.10000/- to Rs.25000/- per month per family.
The protestors have also expressed their concern over the prevailing situations in NIT Srinagar where students from outside the state were subjected to cane charging, it has also been viewed seriously by the protestors that at some places in Kashmir valley the Kashmiri Pandits were subjected to stone pelting. A demand has been made for immediate action against the erring and defaulters.
A demand has also been made for on spot police recruitment rally in Jagti Migrant Township.

Raina, Girdhari Lal Bhat, Gopi Nath Shah, Chaman Lal Pandita, Ram Krishan, Rattan Lal Bhat, Makhan Lal Rain, Abdul Rahman Pader, Omkar Nath Tufchi, Rattan Lal Dhar, Sanjay Pandita, Mithan Ji Pandita, Vijay Pandita, K.L. Pandita, P.N. Dhar, S.L. Kar, P.N. Bhat and others.
