FD retrieves 3000 hectares encroached land

BHADERWAH, Apr 20: The Forest Department Bhaderwah got vacated 3000 hectors of forest land during an anti-encroachment drive in Bhadeah division of Doda district. The drive was carried out by a team constituted by Divisional Forest Officer, Bhaderwah , T B Singh IFS under the guidance of the Conservator of Forest, Chenab Circle, Doda.
The team led by DFO Bhaderwah visited various compartment in Neeru , Charalla , Khellar and Bhalessa range and removed the encroachment.According to DFO, Bhaderwah the staff of Forest Department, despite stiff resistance, succeeded in retrieving 3000 hectors of forest land from the possession of encroachers and said team also removed the barbed wire and brush wood fencing put up by encroachers in Bhalessa ,Bhaderwah ,Kellar and Charlla range and still anti encroachment drive is continue .
Singh also informed that he has set up a demarcation committee for cracking down on the "heavyweight encroachers and for this special control room is functioning round the clock .
