Jammu, Apr 20: Streamline the derailed education system of state, Minister for Education NayeemAkhter in his ten months tenure has implemented various policies but yet it was seemed failure because several Government Higher Secondary Schools (GHSS)situated in far- flung areas still waiting for teaching faculty despite classes are continue.
GHSS Rajgarh of district Ramban is the live example where seven posts of lecturers including Chemistry, Political Science, Education, Botany, Urdu, English and Environment Science are lying vacant despite engagement of contractual lecturers by government.
Manjeet Singh, a local resident said that Tehsil Rajgarh is situated 28 kilometer away from district headquarter Ramban and it was the only higher secondary school for more than 25 thousands souls of ten panchyats.
"The enrolment of this school is good, every year more than 500 students (boys, girls) enrolled but every year we people struggle for teaching faculty", he said, adding that the school was upgraded years back and had sanctioned 11lecturers posts in various subject but astoundingly till date government has not filled all posts. At present only filled four posts of lecturers were filled in which one are permanent and other three are engaged on contract basis, rest of all are lying vacant.
It was very astoundingly, already acute dearth of staff in the school, previous year before winter vacation without giving any substitute government have transferred four lecturers and in previous month other two were transferred due to which the school is still totally defunct.
