Early Times Report Anantnag, Apr 20: A little known politician affiliated with Peoples Democratic Party is leaving no stone unturned to score political points out of the development works being carried in this southern district, however his repeated visits to Bijbehara Sub-District Hospital has failed to yield positive results, so far. Official sources said that officer turned politician has resumed his activities since earlier this month, When Mehbooba Mufti took over as first women Chief Minister of the state. Heavily guarded politician, according to officers is posing as authority and leaves no stone unturned to score political points. "He visits government institutions, claims to have conducted surprise checks and at many times calls officers at his residence," an insider told ET. He said that this politician, who is being blamed for upsetting party cadre in South particularly in Bijbehara assembly segment, more often visits health Institution but till time has evidently failed to fulfill its promises. Before Mufti Mohmmad Sayed's sad demise, this politician visited Sub-District Hospital Bijbehara along with his PSO's and party workers. In the discussion, locals as well as then Medical Superiendent put forward some demands which if fulfilled could have bring a change in Sub-District Hospital Bijbehara. Today, in evening the politician according to eyewitness visited the hospital and took a round. Medical Superintend SDH-Bijbehara, Dr Nahid Malik, confirmed his visit and revealed that he promised a separate OPD for the hospital. "Yes he visited and promised separate OPD for the hospital," she said, on being contacted. Insiders in PDP revealed that politicians has also divided the party into groups in many parts of south Kashmir, which according to them can affect the fourth coming elections. A group in PDP is upset with this politician and is hopeful that party leadership will issue some directions to cadre as by polls are nearing. |
