NRHM deputation calls on Health Minister, apprises him about problems | | | Kishtwar, Apr 21: A deputation of NHM Employees Welfare Association Jammu (J&K) consisting of Dr. Pradeep Singh, Dr. Rakesh Kotwal, Dr. Raman Sharma, Som Dutt and Dr. Lalit called on Health & Medical Education Minister, Bali Bhagat and congraluated him on taking over the charge of Health & ME Ministry. The deputation apprised him of the problems being faced by NRHM employees. Minister was requested to take measures for framing up of regularization policy for NRHM employees in a time bound manner as a large number of NRHM employees have already completed eight to nine years of contractual service and most of them have either crossed or at the verge of crossing maximum age limit for recruitment. Minister was also apprised about stagnation of incentives for doctors since 2012, non availability of incentives to paramedics & program management staff and only approximately around 25% increase in salary for different categories of NRHM employees during last four years which has lead to consequent decrease in purchasing capacity because of phenomenal increase in dearness thereby requested to give substantial hike in salary and incentives for 2016-17 commensurate with dearness and in consonance with 7th Pay Commission. Minister was also apprised about the injustice meted out to NRHM employees of J&K state by not allowing them leave with salary so far. As demand for paid Earned Leave, Maternity Leave, Medical Leave etc was justified by providing the order copies of same leave with salary, applicable to NRHM employees of different other states across India, besides being a violation of fundamental human rights as well. Minister after giving patience hearing to visiting deputation assured them that he will look into the genuine grievances and will address the same on top priority. |
