Low rung 'political leaders' desperate to get PSOs to maintain influence 4/21/2016 11:22:56 PM Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 21: Soon after the formation of unpopular BJP-PDP government, workers of BhartityaJanta Party (BJP) started approaching the senior police officers just to get Personal Security Officers (PSOs) in Jammu District. According to sources in police department, the workers of the BJP have allegedly started pressurizing some senior police officers for allotting PSOs to them. Astonishingly, most of the workers do not fall under the pre-requisite criteria of getting the PSOs, yet they have applied for security allegedly being backed by some of the BJP ministers and the so called mentors of these party leaders are on job/ trying to convince the police officers so that their workers can get PSOs", said a source in the political corridor. "As there are set rules for allotting PSOs and one must fall in the category to get PSOs, sources added.. They said that some of the workers are interested in PSOs just to make influence on the government machinery and to show their close proximity with the ministers to other workers.
