SKUAST (J) official finalises 'deal' for appointment of Assistant Manager 4/22/2016 12:08:58 AM Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 21: An influential official in the office of Vice Chancellor of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST), Jammu, has been allegedly trying to induct his favourite candidate on the post of Assistant Manager of guest house in the campus and a deal has been already struck with the candidate. The SKUAST had sought applications for the post of Assistant Manager at guest house through an advertisement which was published last year. "Consequently, in response to the advertisement, several applications were received by SKUAST administration, but due to unknown reasons the interviews for the said post could not be held for a long time. Now the administration is going to hold interviews for the said post very shortly," sources told Early Times. They said the influential employee in the VC office has almost made fool-proof ground for the appointment of the candidate of his choice on the post of Assistant Manager with the help of higher ups. Even the candidate did not possess the requisite experience certificate for the post at the time of submission of application, yet his form was accepted and later the candidate managed to obtain fake experience certificate which was attached with application form with the help of Secrecy Section. The influence of this official can be judged from the fact that despite knowing the fact that his own appointment in the VC Office is under scanner yet he is enjoying patronage of higher officials in the varsity, they maintained further adding that this prospective candidate was in touch with this employee since long through some business term with the varsity. "Interestingly, the blue eyed candidate is also a supplier with varsity who supplies various articles to SKUAST with the help of this employee who in return allegedly gets monetary benefits from the supplier," they said.
