DSP, SHO at daggers drawn | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 21: There is no love lost between a DSP and an SHO of a police station in Jammu district as they have developed strong enmity and hate towards each other and are making no effort to conceal it. The two are at daggers drawn for some months now with no sign of improvement in relations, according to police sources. Differences and mistrust between them developed after the Inspector got posted as SHO of a police station that fell under the area of DSP. "Later, levelling serious allegations of corruption and professional misconduct against the DSP, the SHO had approached senior police officers and sought his transfer to some other place," sources said. Though the seniors did not bother to order a probe into the allegations against the DSP, they transferred the Inspector to some other place in the district where he was again posted as SHO of another police station, the sources added. The duo were now allegedly targeting each other publicly and indulging in mud-slinging to damage the reputation of each other, sources said, adding they had also started targeting each other's sympathisers in their respective jurisdictions. Senior police officers were also said to have reprimanded both of them, asking them to desist from levelling accusations against each other, sources said. |
