Jammu, Apr 21 : Institute of Management Sciences (IMS) organized a cricket match in its play-ground. The initiative was taken by the students of management department of IMS. The cricket match was inaugurated by Er. Vidhi Singh Jamwal, Chairman JGEI, Er. Renu Bangroo, Managing Director, JGEI, Th. Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal, Vice-Chairman, JGEI and Prof. JR Dhotra, Director IMS. Riding on a brilliant bowling display by Vishal Bhat and magnificent knock by Bipin Raju, team Strikers defeated 11-Stars by 4 wickets to win the cricket match, being played at IMS playground, Patoli Brahmana. Earlier, winning the toss team Strikers offered 11-Stars to bat first; they scored a modest total of 109 runs in 15 overs. Harshdev top scored with 25 runs, while Moomin and Vishav Kohli contributed 20 and 18 runs to the total respectively. For team Strikers, Vishal Bhat was the wrecker-in-chief, who scalped 3 important wickets in his 3 overs by conceding just 15 runs, while Madhav claimed 2 wickets. In reply, team Strikers chased the target in just 11.3 overs by losing 6 wickets, thus wining the match by 4 wickets. Bipin Raju top scored with power-packed 76 runs off 24 balls and was adjourned Man of the Match. The match was officiated by Rohit Ganjoo and Akshay as umpires, while Vivek Sanson and Mukesh Sharma were the scorer and commentator respectively. The tournament was being organized by Shiveta Bakshi, Tania Mengi, and Vineeta Sharma, under the supervision of Prof J. R. Dhotra, Director, IMS. |
