Reasi, May 16: Two students were drowned in a river while one was rescued in Reasi district.
"Two students this morning drowned while they were crossing a river and accidentally slipped into it at Budnar in Mahore area of Reasi," police spokesperson here said.
He said that the boy namely Naseer Ahmed,18, son of Abdul Rashid, resident of village Bela Sarh, a 12th grade student and Ruksana Kousar, daughter of Mustaq Ahmed,15, resident of Musra, a class 9th grade student, were returning home from a marriage function but slipped into the water while crossing a river.
"Rescue operation was launched and during search, the girl was recovered in an injured condition and shifted to sub-district hospital Mahore," police said adding that the body of the boy was recovered few meters away from Musra village. |
