Clerical staff Association to initiate strike on May 19 | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 16: Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh All Departments clerical Staff Association today held a meeting in which they decided one day pen down strike to be held on May 19, 2016. While addressing the clerical cadre Ravi Singh Bhau condemned the anti employees and workers policies of the State Government. Vide agreement September 15, 2011 carried out between the representatives of Association and the State Government authorities, the State Government vide Govt. Order No. 76-GAD of 2012 dated 16.11.2012 constituted the Pay Anomaly Committee. The Pay Anomaly Committee submitted its report regarding the pay anomalies of clerical Cadre, Home Department and Revenue Department. The State Government accepted and implemented recommendations in favour of Revenue and Home Departments, ignoring the clerical Cadre. Now again the State Government vide Govt. Order No. 420-GAD of 2016 dated 21.01.2016 constituted another Pay Anomaly Committee which is just another attempt to befool the clerical Cadre. The State Government is hood winking the clerical cadre by giving false assurances and compelling the clerical Cadre to come on the road once again. They appealed Chief Minister to intervene in the matter so that the pay anomalies of the cadre (of 5th Pay Commission) be removed while granting the pay scale of Rs. 4000-6000 to Junior Assistant, Rs.4500-7000 to Senior Assistant and Rs 5500-9000 to Head Assistant etc. notionally w.e.f. 01-01-1996 and Monetary w.e.f. 19-02-2003 as has already been granting in favour of other cadres. They also warned the self styled leaders for creating the confusion among the employees. The association appealed to the clerical cadre to remain vigilant from such elements who are involved in the anti clerical cadre activities. |
