Jammu, May 16: Delhi Public School, Jammu, won five gold medals in the inter school swimming competition organized at M A stadium. According to press release, the competition held at M.A. Stadium from May 12 to May 16. The swimmers achieved new milestones and won galaxy of medals for the school. Under 14- Boys Divyan Sharma-VII I won 2 Gold Medals in 200 mtr and 400 Mtr Free Style, Vansh Sharma-VI E won Gold Medal in 200 mtr Breast Stroke, Devansh-VIII B won Gold Medal in 100 Mtr Back Stroke. Under 14-Girls, Vaniya Suri-VII A won Gold and Silver Medals in 50 mtrs and 100 mtrs Back Stroke respectively. In Under 17-Boys Bhuvandeep Singh-IX E won Bronze Medal in 100 mtr Free Style. On other hand Zorawar Singh-IX E, Arnav Gupta-VIII A, Yashas -VIII F and Siya Singh-VIII E, received participation certificates. The Gold and Silver Medal achievers will go further for District Level Competition to be organized by the department later. The Headmistress Meenu Gupta congratulated the young achievers and their mentors and said games impart a sense of discipline and togetherness, so every student must follow some game in his/her school life. |
