Despite CM's direction on encroachment, ACR/Tehsildhar fail to retrieve state land at Jhuthana

Kathua, May 16: "Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir has issued strict action against encroachment of state land but people who must be in action to control on encroachment are involved in the encroachment of state land in Jhuthana. ACR and Tehsildhar Kathua have failed at all ground to retrieve state land after several reminders/deputation," Ravinder Singh Sarpanch Jhuthana and Balbinder Singh, Chairman Jhuthana Panchayat today alleged on Revenue department during a press conference here at Kathua.
The members of Panchayat Jhuthana today called on Asstt Commissioner (Revenue) Kathua, raised the issue of encroachment on Khasra no. 219 land near a school that entirely belonged to JK State but people of a particular community has entirely encroached and made temporary sheds there.
Ravinder Singh, Sarpanch informed that despite the issue has been raised before DDC Kathua, ACR and Tehsildhar Kathua in number of times, submission of memorandums and protests, Revenue department failed to take action that pointed out their working including involvement in the menace. He informed that encroachment on said land has been extending in each days but Tehsildhar Kathua Avtar Singh, being a local tried to impress that particular community.
Balbinder Singh Chairman of Panchayat Jhuthana, alleged Tehsildhar Kathua to involve in corruption and impediment to take action which is shameful attempt of the officer. He demanded retrieve of land that can be used for mini stadium, school, community hall or any other general purposes.
The chairman said similar case of encroachment on 100 kanals state lands near Tube well dug entirely encroached but no action has been taken till date in that case too.
Dev Singh, Md Sadiq and Surinder Singh Panchs said according to a government order DDC/ SSP are responsible for further encroachment. They appealed CM/ Revenue Minister to set up an inquiry of Revenue officer, retrieve encroached land. They also demanded transfer of Tehsildhar Kathua besides retrieve of state land.
