JAMMU, June 15: Onkar of BSF Kathua and Hardeep of Amritsar in Punjab shared the title in annual dangal that took place at Devsthan Peer Kapila Nathji Rara near Swankha.
State vice president of BJP, Yudhvir Sethi was chief guest in this dangal, who distributed prizes worth Rs three lakh. Speaking to the gathering, he said,
"We are proud of our rich culture and the local festivities help bring people together thus strengthen the bond of amity and brotherhood."
While encouraging the winners of various bouts held during the day, Yudhvir announced an assistance of Rs 10,000 for development of the temple.
Prominent among others present were president Sanatan Dharam Natak Samaj, Anil Masoom, vice president Jammu East Mandal BJP, Vishal Kohli and Pankaj Verma. |
