Early Times Report Jammu, June 15: High court judge Janak Raj Kotwal today ordered that, subject to objections and till next date of hearing before the bench, if the post of senior lab technician shown at serial No 197 of the December 28, 2012 advertisement notice No 3 'belongs to food laboratory unit of Drug and Food Control Organization (DFCO), the selection process shall remained stayed'. The court directive came in a petition, challenging the advertisement notice for the post of senior laboratory technician figuring at its serial No 197. The petitioner stated that the post belongs to Food Laboratory Unit' of DFCO, recruitment whereto for the time being was governed by Draft Recruitment Rules in accordance with government order No 39-HME of January 11, 2008. The petitioner's counsel submitted that as per schedule II of Draft Rules, senior laboratory technician in Food Laboratory Unit' was mentioned at Category II of Class-I and was to be filled up by promotion from Class-I (Category III), that is, from the post of Laboratory Technician. Justice Kotwal, after hearing him, issued notice to state returnable within four weeks and ordered that, subject to objections and till next date of hearing before the bench, in case the post shown at serial No 197 of the advertisement notice belonged to Food Laboratory Unit of DFCO, selection process would remain stayed. |
