Jammu, June 15: A massive demonstration of all public sector bank employees and officers was held protest here today at Shalimar Chowk, Jammu under the banner of Jammu Province Bank Employees Federation. The demonstration was held to highlight and oppose the pernicious banking reforms that the government is planning to implement.
According to press release, these reforms/ various policy decisions are to take place in banking sector in the name of financial reforms, amendments in labour laws etc. All these laws are tailored for private and foreign players, thus the employees are against all these reforms, said protestor.
Addressing the protestor Comrade Arun Kumar Gupta said that we will not allow to government to do such types of reforms in banking sector which help the private players as well as foreigner players to invest in banking sector.
The gathering raised slogans against all such laws and actions of the government.
The demonstration was also addressed by other federation leaders including Comrade RK Bamba, Comrade TK Tickoo, and Comrade VK Dutta. |
