Opposition desperate, over Govt pro people approaches: Hamid | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 15: Accusing opposition leaders of crying hoarse for no reasons, People's Democratic Party (PDP) Abdul Hamid Choudhary today said that unable to digest developments like beautification of river Tawi or cleaning of Dal Lake, opening borders with Pakistan or ensuring best ever administration, some corrupt and defunct opposition leaders are trying to show their desperation in one or the other way. Hailing the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and coalition partners for signing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Jammu Development Authority (JDA) and Sabarmati River Front Development Corporation Limited (SRFDCL), Ahmedabad for developing river Tawi on the patterns of Sabarmati in Gujarat, Choudhary Hamid said opposition had missed a golden opportunity of serving people during their tenure and instead remained involved in corrupt practices. Today when mega development works are being executed or proposed, such leaders who are facing court cases were trying to mislead masses or rake up sensitive issues just to create instability. He said that Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh too had agreed on the proposal of former chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed that more cross-LoC routes must be opened for boosting tourism and trade in Jammu and Kashmir State which the incumbent chief minister Mehboba Mufti was vigorously pursuing. |
