Jammu, July 6: Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) has started the preparations for its annual elections somewhere around July 20 to bring in a new team at least in Jammu. It has been reliably learnt that those registered clubs with voting rights have started holding corner meetings both at Jammu and Srinagar to look into the possibilities. "Earlier, it was decided to hold elections a week early, but after consultations at different levels a final decision was taken to elect a new team only after expiry of full one year term. There seems hardy any change in the central body, however, there are chances of a change in the office bearers of Jammu wing," office bearer of one of the Jammu based clubs said. And, to invite the member clubs with voting rights for elections and also to inform about the schedule, a notification is expected to be issued by the president and Minister for Sports, Imran Raza Ansari from JKCA headquarter at Srinagar. |
