70 teachers overstaying in city colleges for 8 to 20 yrs

Jammu, July 6: After the lapse of nearly one year, since taking the reins of Education department, the Minister concerned has adopted a cryptic silence over the overstay of more than seventy Assistant Professors in city colleges for the last 8-20 years, in total violation of transfer policy.
In response to RTI application filed by convenor of Sangarsh RTI movement, Balwinder Singh the Higher Education department has handed over a list of more than seventy influential Assistant Professors, who have been overstaying in the colleges of their choice.
These Assistant professors posted in Government College of Education area Dr. Rupinder Kour (14 years), Dr. Rajinder Kour (10 years), Dr. Jyoti Parihar (8) years.
In Government College of Engineering and Technology Chak Balwal, these overstaying assistant Professors are Dr. Bhopinder Singh, Rajinder Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar Gupta, Anita Brar, Harinder Dingra, Sunita Kitroo (all 20 years), Veena Rani (17 years), Shabana Aftab (16 years), Subash Chander Dubey (16 years), Bhawana Sharma, Sheetal Gandotra, Sanjeev Gupta, DN Sharma, Karan Gupta, Satdev, Simmi Dutta (all overstaying for 15 years), Manoj Kumar, Jyoti Mahajan, Salvant Raj, Rajive Kumar Bali (14 years), Neeraj Dubey (13 years), Vandana (12 years), Sameer Khajuria (12 years), Ajay Abrol, Sarabjit Singh and Subash Chander (8 years).
In GDC Gandhi Nagar, Seema Sharma, Geetanjanli (18 years), Prof. Renu Sehgal, Shalini Sharma (16 years), Renu Dar, Suman Bala, Naveen Anand (all 15 years), Irvinder Kour (14 years), Ashwani Khajuria (13 years), Satinder Kour (12), Anuradha Gandotra (11 years), Anjali Bhat (11 years), Seema Jolly and Mohinder Paul (9 years).
In Gandhi Memorial Science College, Chanchal Khajuria (17 years), Reena Salaria (11 years), Vandana Ghai, Puja Nanda, Babita Mahajan, Rohani Devi (all 9 years), Monika Sharma, Kuldeep Raj and TH Shah (all 8 years).
In SPMR College of Commerce Pawan Kumar (12 years) and Neeru Bhalla (10 years).
In MAM College, Romesh Kumar (16 years), Sushma Chib (14 years), Kuldeep Singh (11 years), Sangeeta Sudan (11 years), Shobha Gupta (11 years), Sarika Mahajan (9 years), Ifthkar Ahmad (7 years).
In Government College for Women Parade Jammu, Jyotika Bhasin (21 years), Anupama Sharma (18 years), Nidhi Kotwal (15 years), Rajni Kumari (13 years), Romila Guleria (13 years), Anju Bala Dogra, Monika Gupta and Shushma Mahajan (all 11 years).
As per transfer policy of state government, the stay of any employee in city is minimum of two years and maximum of three years and in rural areas for two and three years, but these faculty members have been shuttling from one college of city to other for the last many years while many have been working in peripheries for the last many and no one bothers about them.
